When I select from Pidgin Buddies->Join a Chat and type a name of the group Chat from Skype then just a new chat window is opened, so I am not able to join an existing Skype chat. The setting should be On except for blocked domains or On only for allowed domains. We currently have 26 members in our group and we're still growing, and the group is quite active. If you are running Skype for Business Online check that External Access is enabled in Office 365 admin Center (go to Admin Centers > Teams & Skype > Legacy portal), choose Organization > External communications.
